The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus

Doctor John Faustus is at the height of his academic power; he is universally revered for his unmatched intellect, yet he still hungers for for more. In Christopher Marlowe’s The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus, he trades his soul to gain mastery of dark magic and the service of the devil Mephistopheles. Faustus travels the globe, using the magic of his infernal aid to conquer his every desire and engage in hijinks. Despite his might, he is still tormented by the fate of his soul. Can Faustus be saved, or will his pride and greed damn him for eternity?
